This past Saturday was my first group run with Team in Training. I was kind of dreading the 7:00 AM run as I drove nearly 40 minutes away to Busse Woods, in Elk Grove Village, IL. It is this incredibly beautiful network of lakes surrounded by bike paths over bridges and dams.
The run wasn't bad, considering that it was six miles long. Hey, it's only gonna get worse. The people are nice so I'm really looking forward to getting into shape.
By the way, I'm also getting addicted to MapMyRun.com - I keep adding in runs that I want to do.
Jenny had a Village Club board meeting tonight, so I'm setting up my web pages in the sun room. I have to start raising funds soon!
